The One Great Hour of Sharing offering has grown tremendously in over 50 years of existence. With the funds it raises, One Grace Hour of Sharing builds communities, teaches skills, resettles refugees, responds to disasters, strengthens families, prevents disease, and promotes hope and health among humankind. This offering provides us an opportunity to share. One Great Hour of Sharing is built on the principle that we are all the beneficiaries of God’s gifts. We all receive and all are called to give. We all have opportunities to serve others, and we all count on the kindness of others. Through all these years, One Great Hour of Sharing has remained true to its original vision. It still depends on the grace of God to transform ordinary gifts, given by people just like you and me, to instill them with the power to change not only the giver and receiver, but also the very world in which we live. The disciples questioned Jesus as to whether five barley loaves and two fish could serve so many, but were blessed to witness what happened next. What we have to offer can do more than we ever imagined when it is put to God’s purposes. IT’S TRULY REMARKABLE WHAT YOUR GIFT WILL DO! Please use the enclosed envelope for your gift to this compassionate cause and bring it to church when we dedicate the One Great Hour of Sharing offering on June 20.
