Thoughts from Pastor Dave: January 3, 2005 Have you ever found yourself asking a question similar to the title of this article? Discovering God’s intention is important for those who are trying to be Christ’s disciples. Yesterday in our Sunday School discussion, our class generally agreed that it was not so hard to obey when God spoke clearly, but instead it is hard to determine when the invisible God is speaking specific directions to individuals. Yet we need to understand God’s intentions before we can act on them. For the next two weeks, we will be examining the question, “How Do I Know What God Wants Me to Do?” more closely. During our study together we will look at three important biblical texts: for January 9th, Proverbs 3.1-10 and 2 Timothy 3.16-17; and for January 16th, Acts 6.1-6. I would encourage you to read them a number of times during the week in preparation for our study. For a little “guidance” in your reading, remember the following acrostic:
G o to the Lord
It is my hope that the principles from our study will help us as individuals and as a church family, be cognizant of God’s leading throughout 2005. For His Glory, Pastor Dave
